epocrates App Reviews

Dont ever install epocrates essential because youll be asked to put in password and log in username everyday. And if you are in a hospital building with spotty Internet or cellular connection, then u cant even open the application at all and you might as well delete this application and install skyscape, which is better in this aspect. I understand the need to verify the password during the initial installation process, but to be asked to put in password almost everyday? This is just unnecessary. This is the same thing with other epocrates associated applications such as modalitys procedures consult. Bottom line, insall skyscape or carry a more reliable printed pocket reference over this application.

Very frastrating apps. Slow, crushes and ask me to update when I want to find a drug in the middle of my duty! Pharmacopea is better, more stable and also contain more Canadian brands

I got an email from the developer several days ago stating that the crash bug has been fixed, but the update has yet to appear in the Canadian App Store. In the meantime, this app is now completely useless.

I really like the new layout design of the Epoctates app. It is a lot more user friendly and integrated. I have the pocket medical French, Spanish and BMI took connected to it. I am a chiropractor and a paramedic student. I use it to look up medications a patient may be on. I use the pharmacology section a lot to tell what it does (beta blocker, diuretic etc.) and that is helpful I really appreciate the hard work you have been doing. I love the clinical cases that are in the alert section. I read the case with the Asian lady with abnormal positioning of her coronary arteries. It was very interesting because from a prehospital point of view that dx would not even cross my mind. Thanks

What a great reference app.I find it very precise in the information provided and a very good resource for many inquiries into the med&side-effects library.

Quick access to Drugs by name & class. Disease search comprehensive. Interaction check invaluable. Best of All…affordable. Use my iPhone app all the time. Look forward to Cdn. drug list some day.

I was so excited after watching The Dr. Oz show about this app. Unfortunately the app will not open up... Same problems as ev1... Asking for a e-mail and password without a opportunity to input one.... :-(

This app is actually very useful. Probably the best in terms of drug indexing and interaction checks (better than micromedex and webMD). You use their website to create your account (free) then use those credentials to log in. I dont normally write reviews but the number of people not using the app simply because there is no in-app signup is disappointing.
